This is the "killer technique" I saved over $70,000 with in two years - the one I had to get my friend John, and his young family doing since they'd lost their home in a fire and were starting all over (John reminds me of my younger brother, whom I adore, so I guess I watched out for him like a big sister should).

I hope you enjoyed the video. The audio was recorded during a radio interview in Texas, and I inserted some pictures to make it a little easier to follow, for those of us who are visual.

You may have understood it all, the first time through. Or you might need someone to go over it with you a few times till you "get it" like John did.

And boy did he get it!

He came over about three weeks later nearly exploding with excitement. "Lin! This is amazing! We have to tell people about this. We have to turn this into a product!"

I reminded him I didn't invent this huge idea (the one revealed in the video above). In fact, there was already a book about it - maybe more than one.

"But not like YOU explained it!" he said. "You're a writer - and you used to be a teacher. You're the perfect one to write it in a way people can understand.

"Besides, you know the computer. You can probably put some illustrations in it, make it super easy to follow, and publish it online. Whaddya say?"

I do love teaching, and I did edit and illustrate training manuals for a company in Los Angeles for a few years. But everyone we talked to about how to market the information online said the only way we could be compensated for our time was to put a $3000 seminar on the back of it. You know...offer the material really cheap, then hard sell a weekend workshop.

Sorry. I can't do that. I don't want to be in the seminar business, so don't worry--you won't be getting a pitch from me!

I did, however, agree to write out what I'd learned. I knew I could make it really simple (all those years with adult training manuals!).

We talked it over and made a few commitments before begining the project:

 - we would compare the common "early-payoff techniques" in addition to introducing this killer 'equity' technique. Most folks promote one method over another - actually to the exclusion of al others. We didn't believe that was realistic or fair to the public.

 - show real numbers that come from middle America (though useful worldwide). We didn't want any 'hypothetical' savings that no real person could experience, no 'resyults not typical' disclaimers on it

 - compare apples to apples, and if we talk about oranges, compare them to oranges, not apples. ;-)

 - give people real steps to take, like a guidebook, a handbook to saving on your current mortgage

 - assure people they don't have to refinance

 - don't charge so much for it that it isn't accessible to every home-owner

 - don't charge so little for it that they download it then don't read it!

 - make it easy - easy - easy for people to follow

 - empower people with information rather than 'renting' them tools for the next 10 years

So this is what we came up with in the do-it-yourself early mortgage payoff training manual we call "Let your Mortgage Make You Rich":
